Betty was a friend of mine. Because of her unhappy family, she lost confidence in everything. She became lonely and started to hate her life or even the whole world.
One day, I took her to see a psychologist. After knowing about her, the psychologist asked her, “I know you enjoy writing. Why don’t you work for a magazine or newspaper?”
“I don’t think I can do it well,” she answered.
“Do you want many friends?” he asked again.
“Yes, I do, but maybe nobody likes making friends with me,” Betty said.
After hearing what Betty said, the psychologist smiled. “God is fair. Although God hasn’t given you a happy family, he has given you intelligence and some other things. Challenge yourself to do something you’ve always wanted to do but have never done before. There are many people who care about you around you. Try to believe in them and make friends with them,” he said.
The psychologist’s words encouraged Betty. Later she found a job. She worked as a magazine writer and made many friends in her company. She succeeded in changing her life.
There are many challenges in our lives, but we are always afraid to to face them. Believe in ourselves and learn to challenge ourselves. Then we can be on the way to success
