Bear with people

Hi,

Person A bears with person B.

Generally speaking, what does it mean?

Does it mean person B hurt person A (for example insulting), but person A does not say anything harsh back, does not become angry, and does not seek ways to revenge, ignores (maybe grudgelingly and bitterly, or maybe gladly) the hurt, and does not mention it to person A?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I found a verse from the NIV Bible:

Colossians 3: 12-13

12 Therefore, as ***'s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

It means the same as in the examples given above. Be patient with someone; be tolerant toward someone.
