Director :Yes, you can use the company car to go there on condition that you must bear the petrol /gasoline costs.

Mr A : May I borrow the company car to go to the National Park, please?
Director :Yes, you can, but you'll have to pay for the gas yourself.

You can use the word "cover" instead of "bear", i.e. "... you must cover the petrol costs." Or to make it even clearer: "... you must cover the petrol costs yourself."

In this case 'bear 'is used like 'carry'. In other words...'you need to carry the petrol costs' the same way you would carry a load or other burden e.g. financial.
