Be to have PP

Hello, members and gurus!

Grammar books don't say much about, is/are to have PP.
********

You are to have finished the project by next Tuesday.

The letter is to have arrived no later than tomorrow.

********

But there appear some examples in Google.
Is that construction not much used?
Maybe not being used at all?

Dear Pructus I have never used this construction. It sounds possible but unnecessary. " would have the same meaning.

I have never used this construction. It sounds possible but unnecessary. "You are to finish..." would have the same meaning. I can't think of a situation when your construction would be the only or preferred choice.

Check out Unit 12 of Advanced Grammar in Use (Hewings) which is about to be . Your construction is not mentioned there.
