Is it natural to say 'be the same with'?
I'm not longer the same with him since he hit me. I'm a lot colder and unfriendly.

Hello Clive, is it appropriate to use the present simple tense (I'm not longer...) here? I always thought we could use 'since + past simple ' only with the pefect and perfect continuous tenses in English. So, If what I always thought was correct, shouldn't the sentence be like this:
