Be supposed to

Hi~

I want to know when i could use 'be supposed to' in english sentence.

Could you explain?

I've heard that 'be supposed to' has some connotations of duty or obligation.

but I think that's not always proper answer to all those english sentences.

so, Could you explain it to me?

when you answer me, I would be very happy and thankful for that.

Thank you~
