Be sheltered more

hello
I would like to know what you think about this sentence and if it is correct or incorrect? Would you hear an English speaker say this?
Let's go this way. lets cut through the mall We'll be sheltered [more/longer] from the rain than if we walk go around.

Thank you

There appear to be three sentences, poorly separated. But yes, after correction, it would be something an English speaker might say and be understood. “Let’s go this way.

(I chose ‘longer’ over more, because ‘more’ is a degree of shelter rather than duration; and I chose ‘go around’ because ‘walk’
