Be seated/seat difference

Hello,

what is the difference exactly while I say "Please be seated or please seat" to someone, think that it's office environment

Hello Sunsail, Please Seat is wrong. It should be Please Sit Down . Please Be Seated is correct and in the office you can use it .

Please Seat is wrong. It should be Please Sit Down. Please Be Seated is correct and in the office you can use it . Its a formal way to say Sit Down .

hello ! I'm French and I'd rather say "please take a seat" (instead of be seated) in formal English , could you confirm this?

Please have a seat - an invitation to sit down.

Please take a seat - also an invitation, but a bit more firm. (You don't really want the person to remain standing, but you're not ordering him to sit in a rude way.)

Please (pause - wave toward the chair) sit -- This sounds like a command but you're really saying "feel free to sit." Informal.

"Please... sit" is an invitation to have a seat.

"Sit down" is a command - the person has perhaps jumped up from their seat and you want that person to sit back down.
