be reconciled or reconcile

Do you have to have 'be'?
Because of you I reconciled with my daughter.
Because of you I was reconciled with my daughter.

Here is the the dictionary entry

be reconciled › When two people are reconciled, they become friendly again after they have argued: They were finally reconciled with each other, after not speaking for nearly five years.

Since we have a pause after because of you, I think a comma is needed.
