Be on the edge with somebody

Hi

Is it an idiom? What does it mean? If I were to guess I would say it means "I'm angry with you".

It's not an idiom that I am familiar with. I have no idea what the intended meaning is, but you know better than I what context you found it in, so maybe it does mean "I'm angry with you". CJ

It's from a song I heard on the radio today. But after reading the lyrics I think it just means she's standing on some edge with somebody else.

There ain't no reason you and me should be alone
Tonight, yeah baby (2x)
But I got a reason that you-hoo should take me home tonight
I need a man that thinks it right when it's so wrong,
Tonight yeah baby (2x)
Right on the

It's got nothing to do with being angry. Here "on the edge" probably means "about to", for example, the feeling that something is about to happen. We can only guess what is about to happen from the other words of the song, and it seems quite possible that they have a sexual connotation.

Interestingly, to be on edge is an idiom, and it means to be nervous.
