Be likely to

Hello friends

I'de be grateful if someone could explain what difference is between "will+have+p. p and *be likely to *.By this one I mean can they be used interchangeably?


Ex:I'm likely to pass my exam by summer

or

I will have passed my exam by summer.

No. They aren't very closely related at all.

You can say

Be careful around Tom if he's been drinking. He is likely to get violent.

That is not the same as He will have gotten violent, a sentence which doesn't even make sense in the given context.
