Hello, everyone.
Not speaking German at all, I'm looking at english translation of numbers from musical 'Elisabeth'.
Sadly, there are some parts I cannot understand although it is written in english: 'but what's left of our rendezvous isn't for us to decide'. (In German, Doch was uns treibt, liegt nicht in uns’rer Macht.)
It's hard to get what 'what is left of our rendezvous'.
I suppose the main problem is that I cannot figure out what 'of' means here.
Could you explain or paraphrase it?

It's the same difference as in "what's left of my lunch' (when your lunch is only partly eaten).

Actually, 'what is left of our rendezvous'. makes little sense to me, and is certainly not a translation of 'was uns treibt' which means something like 'what drives us'. Could you give is the preceding line or two?

I have found this (, 2:12). The German word seems to be 'bleibt', not treibt'. The words mean What remains to us does not lie in our power
