What does ' be it ever so common' mean?
plz explain the following underlined phrases as well.
and I wonder if those patterns are commonly used.

Be it true or not, it is not worth considering.
Say what you will, no one believes him .

What does ' be it ever so common' mean?-- No matter how common it is

Be it true or not -- Whether it is true or not
Say what you will-- although you say the opposite; no matter what you say

and I wonder if those patterns are commonly used.-- They are not so common as they used to be.
