be going to / be going

Hi, is there any difference between American English and British English about using "be going to go" and " be going"?
for example
I am going shopping tomorrow.
I am going to go shopping tomorrow.
can I say one of the above sentences is American (or more usual in American English)? or are they the same in both American & British?
