Be full spectrum...

Hi

Ringtones are really the thin end of an enormous wedge which will eventually be full spectrum sound and picture delivered through the air to mobile devices.

--- Does it mean that ringtones is just the first step for transmitting sound and pictures to the mobile phones. I think "through the air" means wireless?

thanks

" It means that ringtones, which are very short snippits of music, represent the beginning of a huge trend, ending in a world where vast quantities of full-length music and video presentations will be transmitted in real time upon request to individuals' players. In the present day, there is only the choice of radio / TV stations' broadcasts - they go to everyone on a fixed schedule. Cable does have some "video on demand", but this is not wireless.

Hi

So does it just mean that ringtones (short pieces of music) are only the beginning. Because probably soon the whole songs and maybe movies (pictures) will be delivered to people's mobile phones.... ?
