Be encouraged + prepositions

Hello.

Is it possible to use "at" instead of "by" after "encourgaed"?

1. I was encouraged by his success.

2. I was encourgaed at his success.

If so, what is the difference between them?

Hi,

His success encouraged you. That's what made you feel hopeful. You want to emphasize that.

On the other hand, you want to say that idiomatically, don't you?

My opinion remains the same: I was encouraged by his success.

What I believe, "at" is the right one. @forum moderators: please correct me if I'm mistaken.
