Be done.

Dear teachers,

If someone asks me if I can finish doing something soon, can I say:

" Sure. I can be done in ten minutes. "?

or

" Sure. it can be done in ten minutes. "?

Please advise.

For a question like "Can you do it in 10 mins?",I would say "I can/can't do it in 10 mins.".

but

if the question is something like "Can it be done in 10 mins?" then my answer would be "It can/can't be done in 10min.".
It depends on how you are questioned.

How soon can you finish it? / When can you be done (with it)?
I can be done (with it) in ten minutes.

Can it be done soon? (= Can someone - anyone - it doesn't have to be you - do it soon?)
Sure. It can be done in ten minutes.

In the first case it has to be you who does it.
In the second case it doesn't matter who does it.
