be/ become

I learned that "I was thinking about becoming a doctor" is correct rather than "I was thinking about being a doctor." And I think I understand that.

But when you talk about your future plan, I think you can say "I'm going to be a doctor." Can you also say "I'm going to become a doctor"? If so, are there any difference?

And I'd like to know if there's any difference between
"I want to be a doctor." and "I want to become a doctor."
