Vocabulary

battling an eyelid

Hi fellow members

I remember there is such an expression as 'battling an eyelid', but I cannot find it in my dictionary.

I think 'battlling' is the wrong word but I can't recall the correct word? Or is there no such expression? If not, can you please tell me the correct expression?

Thanks in advance.
