Batman continues

All righty, then, what's the line on how many they can spawn from this incarnation as Batman? As I left the theatre tonight, I felt at least two were already planned, perhaps written now. One to deal with the Joker, and another to bring aboard Robin, the little Urchin seen in this production.
So, how many in the writing now, and how many could they milk?

Well, bear in mind that with a production budget which some say could have crept as high as $170 million, "Batman Begins" is a long, long way from being profitable (to say nothing of the marketings costs.)

According to Goyer the villain in the next film will be the Joker, who will also appear in the third to turn Harvey Dent into Two-Face (easily my favorite Batman villain).

They're wisely keeping Robin out of this. The character, by the way, was created during the 1950's in an attempt to increase readership amongst the youth market. Logically speaking, the Caped Crusader would rightly find himself brought up on child endangermen
