bask/warm/on fire/enough warm

In winter season, we put fire on a stack of waste papers to get bask/warm.
We are going to put fire on the waste papers for a bask/warm.
This restaurant provides only hot food. I think they heat foods to keep hot before they serve us.
I kept a bucket of water on the fire for you, just check putting your hand on it whether it is enough warm for you to bath.
