Basic english review

idk why but im having a hard time understanding direct objects, indirect objects, linking verbs, subject compliment patterns, etc

please identify each word in the sentences that are direct object, indirect object, subject compliments, subjects, verbs, linking verbs, and nouns.

The driver of the car honked his horn.

Sue threw Joe the ball.

He gave Crystal a lot of attention.

That man handed people in the mall advertisements.

That man handed advertisements to people in the mall.
