"Based on my background" or "because of my origin"

Which one sounds the best, if any?

"The needs and problems of such countries are very familiar to me, based on my background"

"The needs and problems of such countries are very familiar to me because of my origin"

"I'm familiar with the needs and problems of such countries because I come from one of them"

"I'm well-aware of the needs and problems ... because of my origin"

Maybe you could offer better proposals.

Thank you!
