soheil1How does it differ from "based on"?The difference is subtle and hard to describe. Perhaps some people may not notice a difference at all. For me, "based on" seems to mean that the first thing rests on, or is built on, the second, while "based in" means that the second thing is the essential ingredient used in the constuction of the first.
