Based

I read this on a web site:

"Requiem For A Dream, Based Breivik played this? on Utoya."

What does "based" mean in this context? It doesn't make any sense to me

It seems to be some sort of urban slang thing, perhaps a suggestion that he is homosexual.

So is it something negative? I just found a list of definitions on Urbandictionary:

But there, it seems to be a positive word, describing someone who does not care what everyone else thinks. I am very confused now.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time on it. Only a certain kind of person can use such language with aplomb, anyhow (and it ain't me, and I doubt it's you).

Thank you enoon. Maybe someone else knows, I am very keen to know what it means because I have seen this expression quite a few times now.

Are you aware that the killer Breivik listened to this music while murdering people on Uttoya island?
Look through these links for background.

So it does not make any sense to you either, Clive? Yes, I am aware of that fact, thank you for the links.

I don't think it's a corrupted part of a headline, because it appears isolated numerous times on different web sites, just do a google search on "based breivik". Here's another example:

Many children apparently write to Breivik.

I wonder if Based Breivik relates to so

Thank you Clive, and thanks for the link. I'll see if I come across this expression in other contexts, because I have seen it not only in connection to Breivik, but with other names too.

Maybe it is some chat forum style of writing.
eg [based Clive:] meaning 'Clive says . . . ' ?

I came across this word another time, this time in a random comment on YouTube:

"F*** you, haters. He is so based that he **** ur mum last night"

Really sorry about the language, but I had to add the 'context' somehow, in case it helps. So again, what does 'based' mean here?
