Please tell me how to use these 3?Does it have to be said right after the subject or after the verb?like:1) I can barely walk -;- I can rarely go out -;- I can hardly walk2) I barely can walk -;- I rarely can go out -;- I hardly can walkHelp.

But anyway, adverbs of this nature implies certain negative connotation.

Hardly - implies almost zero chance, or possibility. " I hardly understand you " is a nice way of telling someone, I don't understand you".

Rarely - relates to frequency of event. I rarely receive email from John. In this context, you are suggesting you may have received email from him once or twice, nothing more. The use of rarely doesn't have to indicate accuracy.

Barely -has a marginal connotation.
The drunk driver barely missed my car before his out-of -control car flipped over on its side. = You nearly became a victim of a drunk accident but survived it.

I barely passed the exam = you made it, not by much.

Sometimes, they can be interchangeable given the right contexts.

I hardly / rarely see her in address and heels.
I barely / hardly recognized Mary with her full make-up and dress.
