Grammar

barely,hardly

Hello,

I am very much confused about the usage of the word "hardly/barely/scarecly", because their meaning are almost the same.

Could anybody pinpoint the main differences?

Hi Hanuman,

There is very little difference here. Let me recommend this approach.

Do you feel that you are making a lot of errors with these words? Does your teacher tell you that you are making mistakes? If so, in what kind of sentences? If not, why worry about this? I think you would be better off spending your time on aspects of English where you know you really do make a lot
