Bakery

Hi.

What do we call the part in bakery where bread is baked? Is it oven? Furnace?

I have found the word tandoor but I don't know if it is used in everyday English.

Thanks

Hello hrsanei, In France, bread is baked in an oven. An oven can be either gas, electric, or wood powered. The best is bread baked in a wood powered oven.

It's an oven. 'Tandoor' is still too Indian/Pakistani to be known by most English speakers of other nationalities.
