Last night's news. Sure, House Republican leadership was declaring Foley abhorrent YESTERDAY. But what were they doing earlier this year when they had known about Foley for at least months (and as long as a year)?
1. Republicans were giving Foley money for his campaign AFTER theyknew he was a pedophile -

You're a day behind in your defense of House Republicans. You have all new incriminating evidence with which to deal today. As House Republicans continue to back-stab each other, they will provide more embarassing details. Perhaps about other things as well.

Just yesterday, you thought Foley's pedophilia was comparable to having a mistress.
I do not think all Republicans are pedophiles, but House Republicans sure do like protecting those of them that are - until people know that they are doing it.

Here's a good way to end this argument. All those in this argument repeat after me...
"Politicians are scum, no matter where they come from or what party they are in. If a politician is decent he won't last long because he'll either be run out of office or get sick of the whole mess and quit. Parties are detrimental to democracy. If there were no parties we would be forced to consider the man or woman who was running for office and forget the label which would be an end to all these compromises we make when voting for the label instead of the person. It would also free us from defending scum just because they happen to be in the "right" party."
