Backdate

1 If you don't have insurance coverage for your house and there is a fire, can you go to an insurance agency and have them backdate your coverage to prior the fire.

From a legal standpoint, I believe that would be called "fraud."

Is the last bit Ok "....to prior the fire" isn't there a word missing?
