Back to 'wish'

Hi,

A.'I wish other countries had a similar system of recycling to the one we have.'

B.1.'I suppose one day they might.'

2.'Maybe they will.'

1.Which anser is more correct,B1 or B2?

2.If 'wish+would' is used for future wishes and can't be used for states, how can one tell from the above example whether 'had' shows'regret' about the present,or 'hope' for change in the future?*

3.Can one say 'Tomorrow my friend will be enjoying his time in London.I wish I were there with him.'

4.From my readings have come to conclude that 'wish+v2' and 'wish+would' can be alternative and synonymous, concerning one specific action hoping for future change,e.g.'You are not studying hard enough.I wish you started/would start doing so.

*P.S. I read previous posts, regarding 'wish', which say that 'wish+simple past' reflects a situation contrary to fact, while 'wish+would' reflects wish for things to be different in the future.

Thanks
