Hi, I would like someone tell me something about this expression I have found reading a comic of Tintin after something have not worked very well again:

'Oh, it's back to square one again'

I'm guessing that the phrase might have originated from the kind of board games (such as Candyland) where a player advances one square at a time, but on an unlucky throw of the dice may end up being sent back to the beginning.
