Back on?

Mister Micawber Among your examples, only 'walk on' sounds reasonable out of context.

Putting them in context should work, as below.

  1. 'Hello Lisa, where are you now?' 'I'm in my office, I am snowed under!' 'Oh then you please work on. We can talk later. Bye!'
  2. 'Should I switch off the TV? Is it putting you off your reading?' 'It's okay, you can watch on.'
  3. 'Is there a chemist's nearby?' 'Just walk on a bit and it's on your left.'
  4. 'In yesterday's match my favourite footballer got injured and couldn't play on.' 'Oh dear!'
