Back in highschool

Hi teachers~

I am making some sentence examples (in order for my students to practice 'get/keep/be in touch') and I am wondering if they sound ok. I am looking for something common and I would not like to sound like I am too young or too old.

Thank you in advance.

I got a phone call from a friend Jenny whom I haven't talked to for years. We used to be best friends back in highschool but we drifted away after I moved for college. We tried to keep in touch for a while but I got super-busy with school and everything. I am so glad she got back in touch and now I feel bad about losing touch with her.
