Question: You have had a class dicussion about sports and your teacher has asked you to suggest a sport that could be played at your college. Describe a sport that you have tried and say why you think it would be popular. Write your report in 140-190 words in an appropriate style.

Playing sports has gradually become more and more popular with students at college as they begin to take care of their health. The purpose of this report is to make a few observations about cycling which I have tried and explain why it would interest students.

First of all, cycling is a simple type of exercises that does not require many complicated techniques. What you need include a suitable bicycle, a comfortable suit and some water to drink during your ride. The most essential thing is that you ought to have the exact posture in order to prevent physical problems. In addition, it is advised to exercise in a limited amount of time, only within one hour each day.

Furthermore, we could benefit considerably from this sport. Cycling is regarded as an effective way to build up your strength because not only your muscular system but also your skeleton are trained extremely hard while you are riding a bike. If you intend to control your weight, my advice is definitely taking up cycling so as to burn calories in your body. Another fundamental advantage is releasing harmful stress. As cycling gives you a chance to get close to life around you as well as the spectacular moments of the nature, an optimistic mind could be formed for working and studying. According to researches, those who follow regular cyling exercise would be able to have a better sleep at night, resulting in the decrease in the insomnia risk, which is a common issue of many students.

Finally, I am going to point out the reasons why cycling would be popular with students. Since it is quite familiar with the majority of people, students will not have any difficulty practicing. Another woth noting point is that cycling could be both individual and a teamwork activity providing that you join a club. Therefore, everyone could always enjoy themsleves despite whether they have friends or not.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this sport due to the fact that it is a good solution to keep fit and it also brings you satisfactory. For that reason, I suggest it as a sport at college.
