Sounds the right word to fit in here. I'd slightly change the whole sentence to :

"The most popular real estate magazine in Europe, "Bellevue", awarded the agency last may in recognition for its marketing skills...". The rest of the sentence sounds a bit awkward to me... but I think I don't have any alternate proposal to make anyway :-(
