The sentence is rambling. Being helped, reaching dreams, and seeing potential are not necessarily equal to "awakened drive." "The drive which is thus awakened etc." "The drive which is hopefully awakened etc." As it is, "that" has no antecedent. You can't simply say "and hopefully that awakened drive etc."
"Awakened drive" is drive which has become awakened
