Avuncular

Hello!

Worul you please help me rewrite the following sentence? I feel like the part that starts with ''who listens to his employees' '' in my sentence is too week, and thus can be improved by replacing it with more appropriate words. Could you please help me?

'' I am truly so fortunate to have ever such an avuncular, friendly and fatherly rector who listens to his employees' thoughts and cares what they think. ''

Dear Alphecca Stars,
of course, I am not.
It's mostly because of my bad wording.
The rector hired me. So how can I say that I am very happy because the rector at my school is kind and helpful in a better way?

It is certainly a more common word, and fits the sentence.
Avuncular and fatherly are so close in meaning that it seems redundant.

Thank you for your correction. So I guess the main problem with my sentence is about the wrong verb choice. Now it sounds just like a sentence I've wanted to write.
