Avoiding ambiguity with two items that both have "and"
Assuming the reader doesn't know who the two comedy duos are, is there any way to make it clear that the following is two duos and not one group of four? If there was a series of three duos, commas would be fine to use, but what do you do when there are only two?
"The works of Laurel and Hardy and Abbott and Costello are examples of classic comedy."
Top answer
