Available to check/ Available to checking

Hello. I wish to know which of the following is correct:

1. Are you available to checking my composition?
2. Are you available to check my composition?

Besides, I would like to know when should we use the combination of To + continuous verb. For instacne, I was taught long time ago that we should write "looking forward to seeing someone" rather than "looking forward to see someone", yet I actually do not know the reason behind.

Thanks a lot!
