Auxuliary verbs

Hello,

Could you please help me solve this issue? I've got a question regarding the use of auxiliary verbs. Although I've studying english for a long time, I often get confused about it.

For example, which is the correct question below?

- Why most people like...?
- Why do most people like...?

Thanks!

" However, "why" in questions cannot be followed directly by a noun or noun phrase. " Inverted statements like "Why most people give up I don't know" are possible though. I don't guarantee that this is a complete explanation; I may have overlooked some aspects of usage.

It should be "Why do most people like...?"

If the natural (full) reply to a "why" question includes an auxiliary verb, then this is normally echoed in the question:

"Why are you crying?" "I am crying because I am sad."

"Why have you come?" "I have come to ask a favour."

"Why were you fired?" "I was fired be
