Hi,

I don't know how to express the following meaning.

I'm planning to buy a car (by/through/on) the auto loan.

Looking forward to your ideas. Thank you.

Hi Ahava_yin, If 'Auto Loan' is the name of a business then we would say 'I'm planning to buy a car through Auto Loan'. If it is a service, 'an auto loan', then we would say 'I'm planning to buy a car with an auto loan'. There are other possibilities, of course.

  • Is it the name of a business, or is it a loan given specifically for the purchase of an automobile?

Hi Mike in Japan,

Thank you very much for your note. I'm trying to translate a paragraph. It talks about buying cars with a loan. Yes, it is a loan given specifically for the purchase of an auto but I don't know the exact equivalent in English, so I name it "auto loan". Do you have a specific expression for "a loan given for the purchase of an auto"?

Looking forward to your notes

Pieanne"car loan"?

Yes, that would be fine - as long as the loan is not from a company of pirates.
