australian word for truck- ute??
Right I just started watching Top Gear Australia and they keep saying something like ute or youte which means some type of car like a truck, what is the correct spelling?

This is purely a guess -- but maybe it's short for "utility vehicle." (SUV is the American term for "sport utility vehicle.")
