Can anyone explain how to differentiate attribute and identity relational clause? I know identity can be reversed and this one can but is there any other characteristics be used?

The only examples I've ever seen analyzed show that if there's an adjective after the linking verb it's attributive, and if there's a noun after the linking verb it's identifying. CJ

If I'm not mistaken, this is an example of systemic grammar, not the usual general purpose grammar that most people here follow.
