Vocabulary

Attract, fascinate, enchant, obsess

Hi everyone. I would like to know the level of strength of these words in ascending order, and what prepositions are they usually paired with(by/with/to) as well as when to use the right preposition.

Thanks a lot. These words have been messing up my mind for some time already. Emotion: embarrassed

Oh, sorry! I thought I had put the critical information already.

I would like to know the level of strength of these words in ascending order:

Attract, fascinate, enchant, and obsess.

And what prepositions are they usually paired with(by/with/to), as well as when to use the right preposition.

Thank you so much and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Attract
fascinate
enchant
obsess

These are verbs and do not take prepositions: She attracts/fascinates/enchants/obsesses me.
The participles act as adjectives, however, and are followed by prepositions:

I am attracted by her
I am fascinated by her / with her earrings

I am enchanted by her / with her earrings

Thanks for your kind reply.

Nonetheless, I would still like to raise some extended queries. Is "be obsessed with" only able to be paired with animated objects? Can it be related to dead objects like earrings as well? Additionally, are "be fascinated/ enchanted by" merely able to be used with animated objects and "be fascinated/ enchanted with" alongside dead objects?

From the bit of research I did on-line, the usages I gave you are usual; I can well imagine that you could find examples of the alternative prepositions also.
