Have to make this quick. I've got a hellhound on my trail. Ha!
In April I sent an order to Jimmy Martin's website cause I love him so much and want all his stuff. Anyway, after he died it all got tangled up with well-wishers and get well cards and sympathies.
So anyway to make a long story short, Jimmy Martin's son called tonight to discuss my order (he's sending bunches of stuff) and we hit it off. Talked for two hours and I learned so much about my favorite singer.
But his son is NOT a hillbilly like his dad. He is a policeman in Ft. Lauderdale and coaches football at St. Thomas Aquinas. He said these are his students who got picked up by the Canes.

So there is a Jimmy Martin and the Canes connection.
This has been such a good day. I haven't even told y'all about the other stuff that happened.
