[nq:1]just wondering what the difference is between these two words. The abstract noun is attentiveness but in what cases would i use it as opposed to attention. cheers[/nq] I don't use the word "attentiveness," I prefer "solicitude," "sympathy," thoughtfulness, or other more precise nouns.

  • But I will try to use the two words in a somehow opposite ways: Pay attention to the lecture instead of showering Rose with your overwhelming attentiveness.
  • I know it stinks, but right now my creativity level is zero, perhaps someone else will come up with a more illustrative example.
