Attend to me/pulled ...

Hi

There's a spell wich is supposed to protect your animal. You're supposed to take your animal to a crossroads and say:

Crossroads, pathways, attend to me:

This beast shall not be pulled on thee!

Does "attend to me" mean "serve me"?

What does "pulled on thee" mean?
