Hi,

No, 'at his old age' is wrong.

Note you are not asking about the phrase in your original post.

Hi,

- He learned to paint in his old age.

The first "age" means "a period of time that is associated with a particular thing or person." Is that why it's not correct to say "at this age of the Internet"?

The second age. This is the age I am referring to.

The second "age" means "the amount of time during which a person or animal has lived," so would it be wrong to say "at his old age"? Yes. 'His old age' refers to the period during which he was old.

Is it right?
Children go to school at 7 years of age.

Hi, shininggirl
To be honest, I wouldn't say " at 7 years of age" There is something missing which I couldn't make out. Maybe your sentence is correct.
Probably, I would say :
The children start \ go to school at the age of seven.
The kids start school at seven.
The school starting age is seven in many countries.

When the exact age is mentioned or the sense is like "at the age of 21, one gets permission to get married " use at and when the sense is in one's childhood, old age, use in.
