Hello, could you please help me with the use of articles in the following situation: children are learning new vocabulary. I am showing various objects and saying : This is a teddy. This is a doll. This is a ball, etc. Children repeat and then they come to me, all the objects are in front of me and the children. Should I say : Point to a teddy. Point to a doll. or Point to the teddy. Point to the doll. I think the second version is better, but maybe the first is also ok?

If you have several teddies and several dolls to point to, Point to a ... makes sense.
